The HatKid is the alter ego of Carlos O. Docando, illustrator based in Barcelona, Spain. Obsessed with solid and strong colors. I was born in the 80’s and grew up in the 90’s, I spent a childhood surrounded by big logos in tracksuits, Nike air soles, Basketball balls and Hip-Hop culture… All this mix begat The HatKid style.

I started drawing in the books (and tables) of the school, in the highschool I continued on the walls as a graffiti writer, I studied fine arts and finally I became a degree advertising graphic designer. The good thing is that I didn’t stop to do the previously mentioned, and after a few years, I has become an author illustrator with a particular and bold style… my own style.

Actually I work as a freelancer for different type of clients around the world as urban musicians, independent streetwear brands, skateboard brands, personal/comercial social networks and events. Also I sell my own art prints, original artworks and paint handmade murals.
